Our Vision Statement:

Staff and Governors have captured the essence of our school in the following simple, memorable statement:

Finding the light in ourselves and each other.

Our vision Statement is underpinned by the following biblical passage:

'No-one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works' Matthew 5:15-16

At St Sidwell's our vision is to empower our community to ignite the love of learning through the values of Trust, Respect, Collaboration, Courage and Curiosity all underpinned by Love. We believe the strength in our community as in working together to uncover our lights, celebrating diversity and illuminating paths to success.

We embrace the spiritual, physical, academic, emotional, moral and social development of children so they can flourish as unique individuals.

Just as Jesus stated, we believe that light is to be revealed, not concealed. We encourage all children to find their light, help others do the same, and then shine as brightly and proudly as they can.
