St Sidwell's Church of England Primary and Nursery School
St. Sidwell’s CE Primary School and Nursery is a one-form entry Church of England Primary school, in the heart of Exeter. It caters for children from age 3 to age 11.
In art, Year 2 worked to develop their brush control when painting. They learned that different amounts of pressure produce different types of strokes. They these skills throughout our work as we paint in the style of Ted Harrison. 🎨🖌️ #findingthelight @stchris_trust— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) Jan 28, 2026

Reception have been making staircase patterns & recognising that each step is 1 more than the last. Today, they played a game where they took it in turns to hide a step from their staircase, with their partner having to guess which step was missing. @stchris_trust pic.twitter.com/xTHV6Fywal— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) January 15, 2026

Yesterday, Year 5 had a wonderful time in Science learning all about water resistance, buoyancy & water displacement. Each pair had a 10cm by 15cm rectangle of foil and were tasked to create a boat that could hold as many marbles as possible. 🛶💭#findingthelight @stchris_trust pic.twitter.com/UjvlACv0ic— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) January 15, 2026
